Isobel Frye
Isobel Frye is the founding director of the Studies in Poverty and Inequality Institute. She was previously the Black Sash’s national advocacy manager before working as a senior researcher at the National Labour and Economic Development Institute, the research partner of the trade union federation COSATU.
Isobel serves on the Academy of Science of South Africa standing committee on Science for the Reduction of Poverty and Inequality. She is a former member of the UIF Board, and is a current community constituency representative at the National Economic Development and Labour Council.
